With the exception of the specialty crop, specialty livestock and non-farm rural resident positions (for which members applied) and the County Councillor position, members were appointed by the commodity groups or general farm organizations they represent. Staff from the Planning & Development Services Department also sit on the committee in advisory and support roles.

The Agricultural Advisory Committee will provide advice to the County of Lambton about agricultural and rural matters.  To learn more about the Committee, please review its terms of reference located below.

The County of Lambton Agricultural Advisory Committee is looking to fill a vacant position and is asking for applications for "Non-Farm Rural Residents".  The application form can be found below.  Please note the application deadline is February 20, 2012.  Additionally, some existing appointments will require replacement in 2012, including those representing Lambton Cattlemen's Association and Lambton Pork Producers.  For more information, please see the letter below that was sent to general farm organizations.
