Committee Structure

The two standing committees meet (usually the third Wednesday of the month) to discuss the respective areas they represent.  At these committee meetings staff make recommendations to County Councillors, who in turn make recommendations to County Council.  Council then meets monthly (usually the first Wednesday of each month) to consider their recommendations. 

Infrastructure and Development & Social and Health Services Committee members:  Chair Bill Bilton, Vice-Chair Bev MacDougall.  Members:  Steve Arnold, Mike Bradley, Jim Foubister, Dick Kirkland, John McCharles, Gord Minielly, and Warden Jim Burns.

Corporate & Community Services Committee members:  Chair Don McGugan, Vice-Chair Dave Boushy.  Members:  Todd Case, Peter Gilliland, Anne Marie Gillis, Carolyn Jamieson, Lonny Napper, Gord Perry, and Warden Jim Burns.   Non-elected members include: Stephanie Murray, and Walter Petryschuk. (Libraries, Museums & Gallery Lambton matters).

The Striking Committee normally meets only on the day of the election of the Warden.  Its purpose is to appoint County Councillors to the two Standing Committees, as well as to various boards and agencies of which the County has representation.
