Community Consultation
The County of Lambton, along with Service Canada and the Sarnia Lambton Training Board, recently partnered to engage in a process of community consultations in an effort to identify some broad-based needs in the areas of social and economic development. The intent was to consult with the community to gather information in the areas of social and economic development trends, actions already on the way in the community, and what needs to occur.
The results of identifying priority issues of the community, it was hoped, could lead to the creation of community action committees in some instances that would actively take on a lead implementation role to address an identified community need.
The following report describes the community needs identified at the sessions, along with any action that came out of the sessions or activity that was determined to already be happening in the area. Each section concludes with contact information for those wishing to become involved further in a particular issue.
