Sarnia, ON - Fourth year chemical and biochemical engineering students from The University of Western Ontario will soon present their Project Designs to professional engineers from industries in Sarnia-Lambton, volunteer judges, interested employers, members of the public, faculty, and other students at this year's Capstone 2009 Design Project Presentation and Competition. Cash awards totaling $11,000 have been generously donated by several Sarnia-Lambton companies: BP Canada Energy Company, Colt WorleyParsons, County of Lambton, Imperial Oil, LANXESS, NOVA Chemicals, OPG Lambton Generating Station, Shell, Suncor Energy, SNC-Lavalin and Terra Industries.

- Sohrab Rohani, Western Engineering Department Chairman
- Industry Leaders, from Sarnia-Lambton Companies
- Municipal Leaders, from Lambton’s 11 municipalities

TIME: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
9:00 a.m. – Opening Remarks - Dr. Don Hewson, Managing Director, Industrial Liaison, The Research Park, and Prof. Anand Prakash. Both Don and Anand will be available for interviews and photos following opening remarks at 9:00 am.
4:30 p.m. – Awards Presentation – The winning teams will be presented with awards at approximately 4:30 pm. Following the awards presentation, the winning teams, Western faculty and industry leaders will be available for interviews and photos.
