Grand Bend, ON– Saturday, October 18th and Sunday, October 19th mark the kick off of the fall shopping season with the return of the 27th annual Lambton Fall Colour & Craft Festival to North Lambton.  This popular event showcases the talents of craftspeople from across Southwestern Ontario and provides the perfect opportunity to pick up one-of-a-kind gifts and decorations from a variety of craft vendors.

Shoppers can take advantage of this great opportunity to pick up unique hand-made gifts at excellent prices.  Vendors will be at both the Lambton Heritage Museum and the Thedford-Bosanquet Community Centre, filling four buildings, and with 25 more set up under the shade of the mature oak forest.  This show provides an opportunity to discover an array of wonderfully distinctive arts and crafts at over 100 booths.

Open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, the event is expected to attract over 5000 people.  One admission allows access to all craft sale locations.

Offering work that is both functional and decorative, vendors showcase a wide range of media including pottery, ceramics, country decorating accessories, jewelry, clothing & accessories, folk art, quilting and fused glass.  There is also an assortment of baked goods, and gourmet food products to take home.  Choose one-of-a-kind gifts for everyone on your shopping list.  Begin your day at either location, then move on to the other, or split up the show stops over two days.

While you are out be sure to visit the Village of Thedford’s ‘Fall Fantasia’, which combines a Farmer’s Market of local bog and orchard produce, with bake, sidewalk and yard sales.  Also take time to explore the ten fabulous venues that are a part of the Port Franks 5th annual Poinsettia Holiday Shopping tour.

Craft sale admission is $4.00 adults, $1.00 for children with proceeds supporting activities and programmes at the Lambton Heritage Museum.  For more information about this event call the Sarnia-Lambton Tourism hotline at 1-800-265-0316, or the Lambton Heritage Museum at 1-519-243-2600.

The Lambton Heritage Museum is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., weekends and holidays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.  You will find the museum 8 km. south of Grand Bend, on Highway 21.  For more information email heritage.museum@county-lambton.on.caor visit www.lclmg.org.
