Sarnia, ON – Lambton County residents who want to receive the H1N1 vaccine will have even more locations in December to get their flu shot.

The County of Lambton Community Health Services Department has added nine, one-day community vaccination clinics across Lambton to meet public demand and to increase the public's access to the influenza vaccine.

Starting December 1, the public can receive the H1N1 influenza vaccine, the seasonal influenza vaccine or both vaccines at all community clinics. For complete protection against influenza, both H1N1 and seasonal influenza vaccines are recommended. Immunity from H1N1 influenza infection or vaccination does not protect against seasonal influenza. A normal flu season typically runs into the month of April.

Until the end of November, the seasonal flu vaccine is available to those aged 65 years and older, at all clinic locations or doctors offices.

Please do not attend any clinic if you are currently ill with fever or respiratory symptoms.

These one-day clinics are in addition to the daily clinics. All clinics are open to the general public (ages 6 months and older).
