Wyoming, ON – Lambton County Council will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, February 3 at 9 a.m. to receive input on a study examining potential restrictions of heavy commercial vehicles on county roads.
Over the past year, the County has been studying the issue of trucks using county roads, and has been evaluating the need/benefit of potential restrictions of their usage.
The County Road System (648 km.) provides a secondary network of arterial roads that is intended to foster and support commercial activity. "With the reduction in the Provincial secondary highway in the late 1990's the importance of the County Road System has increased," said Warden Jim Burns. "This meeting provides a chance for the public to voice its views on this issue."
The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. in the Council Chambers of the County of Lambton Administration Building, 789 Broadway St. in Wyoming. Anyone wishing to address Council must be placed on the agenda in advance by:
- Contacting Lina Kerwin by no later than Tuesday, January 26 by 12 (noon) at 519 845-0809 x 5321 or 1-866-324-6912 x5321.
- Providing a written summary of your proposed comments or presentation by the January 26, 12 p.m. deadline. Maximum presentation time is ten minutes.
