Exhibition Assistance Grants Available to Artists at Gallery Lambton

Sarnia, ON – Artists looking to apply for grants of $500 to $1,500 to help them with costs related to presenting their work for an exhibition have until February 9, 2010 to apply to the program offered through the Ontario Arts Council via Gallery Lambton.

Gallery Lambton is a third-party recommender for grants to visual artists, craft artists and media artists with upcoming, confirmed exhibitions to receive grants from the Ontario Arts Council.

Artists must apply directly to the recommender gallery located in the zone in which they live. Approved applications are forwarded to the Ontario Arts Coucnil by the recommender once the decision to award a grant has been made.

Gallery Lambton will accept applications for assistance until 5:00 pm on Tuesday, February 9, 2010. Application forms and guidelines are available on the Ontario Arts Council Website at:  http://www.arts.on.ca/Page122.aspx

Gallery Lambton's hours of operation are as follows:  open Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; Thursdays 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; closed Mondays; First Sunday of the month 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; First Fridays (first Friday of the month) 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
