Wyoming, ON – Lambton County Councillors met today to hear from the public about potential truck traffic restrictions on County roadways and to review the possible restrictions available for implementation.
After hearing from 14 local residents Council voted to implement the following restrictions:
- Lakeshore Road from Mandaumin Road (County Road 26) to Rawlings Road (King's Highway 21) - Permits only truck traffic that is picking up OR delivering to an address within Sarnia, Plympton-Wyoming or Lambton Shores.
- Petrolia Line from Mandaumin Road (County Road 26) to Oil Heritage Road (County Road 21) - Permits only truck traffic that is picking up AND delivering to an address within Lambton County.
- Kimball Road (County Road 31) from its shared boundary with the Municipality of Chatham-Kent to Plank Road (County Road 20) - Permits only truck traffic that is picking up OR delivering to an address within Lambton County and a reduction in the speed limit for all vehicles to 80 km/hr.
The balance of the recommendations in the report regarding other County roads was tabled. A report examining these roadways will be presented to Council's standing committee for further discussion and will be considered by Lambton County Council at a later date.
