Power Failures

August 14th, 2003 - A massive power outage forces local industries to initiate emergency procedures to safely shutdown operations.

After the August 14, 2003 blackout we learned that major power failures can occur at any time of the year - winter or summer.  Depending on the season, your response to a power failure may be very different. However, there are some basic preparations that can be applied year-round.
