Short Stay Care
Short stay beds are available to residents in the community that require respite or supportive care on a short term basis. Respite care provides a break for the caregiver and also piece of mind, knowing that the resident will be well looked after 24 hours per day, in a safe environment. Supportive care provides recovery from an illness or prolonged hospital stay.
Beds are available to a maximum stay of 90 days per year, at a cost of $34.63 per day (rate as of July 1, 2010).
Services include:
- 24 hour nursing care (RN on duty)
- nutritious, properly balanced meals and snacks
- recreational activities
- pastoral care (Chaplain on-site)
- restorative care
- lounges with TV
- hairdressing service is available for a nominal fee
Two (2) short stay beds are available at Lambton Meadowview Villa (Petrolia).
Qualification for admission is based on criteria developed by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.
