The University of Western Ontario Research & Development Park (Sarnia-Lambton Campus) originated from a joint venture development project initiated by the Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership (SLEP), the County of Lambton, the City of Sarnia and The University of Western Ontario in November 2003. 

The County of Lambton created the Community Development Corporation, a not-for-profit corporation without shares, which owns the building complex now managed by The University of Western Ontario Research & Development Park Sarnia-Lambton Campus.

Members of the CDC Board of Directors include:

  • Mike Bradley, President (County Councillor)
  • Dr. Ted Hewitt, Vice-President (VP Research, Western)
  • Jim Burns, Member (Lambton County Warden)
  • Carolyn Jamieson, Member (County Councillor)
  • Peter Gilliland, Member (County Councillor)
